About Kiri te Kanawa
Raised by the well known English breeder Barry Fretwell. This new variety differs from most double Clematis in that it blooms double on current seasons growth as well as on the old wood. The early 6-9″ (12-15cm) flowers are deep blue with cream stamens and slightly smaller and paler as the season progresses. Blooming time starts in late spring to early summer with some flowers throughout the rest of the summer and well into fall. Mature height is 6-9′ (2-3m). Pruning group B2.
