About Lemon Bells
C. chissanensis Lemon Bell is a University of British Columbia Botanical Garden introduction. A seedling selected in the garden from seed sent from Choillipo Arboretum, South Korea. The pastel yellow pendulous 2″ (5cm) flowers are a darker wine red at the base. These very attractive flowers are produced on the previous season’s wood in May and June with some flowers during the summer, followed by very attractive seed heads. Mature height 6.5-10′ (2-3m).
